Sellers
As a seller you sell node-weeks of your 8×H100 nodes weeks before they run, against USDC collateral. The buyer's payment sits in escrow from the auction on; you are paid for every hour your node delivers healthy.
You need a wallet approved for the seller role (Apply; sellers pass a business check), nodes that meet the grade, and USDC for collateral.
The grade
Each node delivers as one unit: 8 × NVIDIA H100 SXM 80 GB on NVSwitch (or 8 × H200 141 GB, delivered at par), dual-socket current-generation EPYC or Xeon, at least 1 TB ECC RAM, at least 20 TB local NVMe, at least 200 Gbps front-end Ethernet with a public IP, bare metal with Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.
Set up once
Everything below is on the Seller screen.
1. Register
Choose Create and download seller key. Your browser creates an encryption key pair and downloads it as hourglass-seller-x25519.json. Buyers encrypt their SSH keys to its public half; you open them with the file. Keep the file safe and backed up. Then choose Register seller and sign: your seller profile and the public key go on chain.
2. Submit your nodes
For each node choose Submit a node and enter:
- a label, and the node's region;
- the node's eight GPU UUIDs, from
nvidia-smi --query-gpu=uuid --format=csv,noheader; - its health endpoint: the HTTPS address at which the buyer's Delivery Agent on that node will answer inspectors, ending in
/.well-known/hourglass/health.
An inspector then runs a 16–24 hour burn-in (dcgmi diag -r 4 with zero failures, zero uncorrectable ECC errors, NVLink within 5% of reference) and accredits the node on chain. Accreditation lasts 90 days. Only the UUIDs' hashes are recorded.
3. Post collateral
Under Collateral, enter an amount and choose Deposit. Collateral backs every ask:
collateral = notional × (20% + 1.5% × weeks from the auction to delivery start)
An ask filled at the auction 584 hours before delivery locks about 25.2% of its notional; one filled at the last auction, 80 hours before, about 20.7%. Free collateral can be withdrawn any time with Withdraw.
4. Reserve capacity
Under Capacity, each accredited node lists the open series in its region. Choose Reserve for every week the node can deliver. An ask can only sell node-weeks you have reserved.
Sell at the auction
In Markets, choose a series and Ask: your minimum price per GPU-hour, the node-weeks and the collateral budget for the order. The order reserves that collateral and capacity until the auction. At the Thursday 16:00 UTC clear, an ask at or below the clearing price fills at the clearing price; the fill becomes an obligation in your Seller screen, with its collateral locked and the buyer's payment escrowed.
Deliver
At notice (Friday 00:00 UTC, 72 hours before the week), buyers' requests turn your obligation into tickets to deliver. For each ticket:
- Open the buyer's key. When the buyer has sent their SSH key, open the ticket and choose Open with this browser's seller key or Open with key file…. The app checks it against the hash on chain. The Provider Agent can fetch and install it for you instead (see the agents).
- Assign a node by Saturday 00:00 UTC (48 hours before): under Assign a node on the ticket, pick one of your accredited nodes with capacity reserved in the series and choose Assign node. Install the buyer's key on that node first; assignment pins the key's hash.
- Acceptance. From Sunday 00:00 UTC an inspector runs the 30-minute acceptance test. Have the node up and the buyer's key installed.
- Run the Provider Agent on your management plane for the week. It signs BMC power and link state and DCGM health every minute. Bind it once from the ticket's Provider Agent section.
If a buyer files a fault, it appears under Faults on the ticket. You have 4 hours to cure it: choose another accredited node in the region with capacity in the series and Propose replacement, with the buyer's key already installed on it; an inspector accepts the replacement and it becomes the ticket's node. Or Contest fault with your own evidence's hash, and an inspector probes the node.
Get paid
After the week and its 24-hour challenge window, each ticket settles on its own. You receive the escrow for every certified hour minus the 2.5% delivery fee, and your collateral is released, less any damages for hours short beyond the 1.68-hour tolerance. Weeks that buyers did not request at notice pay you their full escrow, with no delivery fee. Payments that wait in the obligation show Collect USDC.
You can also take an advance against a filled obligation from a lender: choose Offer a pledge on the obligation, name the lender's wallet and the advance, and sign; the advance arrives when the lender accepts. See Lenders.
