Traders

Claims are transferable until notice. A trader buys node-weeks at the auction or from other holders and sells them on before delivery: at a later auction of the same series, or directly to another approved wallet. A trader has the same rights as a buyer, so a trader who decides to keep a node-week can also request delivery.

You need a wallet approved for the trader (or buyer) role (Apply).

One claim is one node-week of one series: a Token-2022 token with zero decimals, one mint per series. Claim accounts open frozen and are unfrozen only for approved wallets (the first order or transfer you sign on a series opens yours, for about 0.0016 SOL of rent), and every transfer is checked by the claim's transfer hook: both wallets must be approved buyers or traders, the series must not be paused, and it must be before notice. Claims never leave the set of approved participants.

• At the auction. Place a bid in Markets like any buyer (Buyers). A filled bid becomes claims in Portfolio.
• From another holder. The holder sends claims to your wallet (below).

Each series has an auction every Thursday from eight weeks before delivery until the week before. Holding claims, choose Ask in Markets on the same series. A resale ask moves your claims into the series' book until the auction; if it fills, you receive the clearing price for each node-week sold and the claims go to the buyers. Unsold claims come back to you.

In Portfolio, choose Transfer on the claim, enter the destination wallet and the number of node-weeks, and choose Send claims. The receiving wallet must be approved; the transfer hook rejects anything else. Payment between you and the counterparty is arranged outside Hourglass.

At notice, Friday 00:00 UTC, 72 hours before the delivery week, claims stop moving. A claim still held after notice can only have been turned into a delivery request; an unrequested claim's prepaid amount goes to the seller. Sell, transfer or Request delivery before then.

The 0.5% trade fee applies to each bid at the auction. Direct transfers carry no Hourglass fee. See Fees.
